ST. MATTHEW'S WINDSOR.. CHURCH ON THE HILL EXHIBITION...HAWKESBURY REGIONAL GALLERY..

AN OPEN LETTER FROM HELEN, FROM ST. MATTHEW'S WINDSOR...

Greetings from St Matthew's
The Church on the Hill exhibition is only open for the weekend of the Bicentenary.
The Art Gallery exhibition is open for approx  6 weeks.
Both of the above exhibitions open on Friday 13 Oct. Come along to the opening.  They need an audience and I would like to invite you to be part of that audience.  Both are in the Deerubbin Centre on George St Windsor.
The Museum exhibition opens Sat 7 Oct 2.00pm.  This exhibition will run for approx 6 months.
If you are trying to find distant relatives, an idea may be to wear a t-shirt with your ancestors name on the back/front or to purchase one of those clear plastic clip on name badges where you can write your name on a piece of paper and slip it into the holder.  If you are  doing the T-Shirt option and doing it yourself, make sure to put a piece newspaper in the shirt to ensure the marker pen does not bleed from front to back or vice versa.
There is a BCF store at McGraths Hill (5 min from Windsor) and a camping store and Big W in Richmond where you can buy folding chairs if you need them.
St Matthew's Church Building is normally open approx 9.00am to around 4 pm.  On Thursday 12 and Fri 13 Oct, I will be at the church about 10am to 2.00pm to answer questions, give directions etc.  Please remember I am a parishioner, not the church historian, so I have huge gaps in my knowledge.
If you are staying in the area on Sat night 14 Oct, I will be at Lynwood Country Club at Pitt Town from 5.00pm, selling raffle tickets to support Windsor High P & C.  They have a dining room, incl an outside area with a nice view over the golf links.  I would be pleased to say hello to you and sell you some tickets if you would like to buy.
Regards
Helen
